These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Certcy mobile application (the “App”) operated by DM+ (“we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Certcy is a cybersecurity education and certification practice application. The App provides study materials, practice questions, quizzes, and progress tracking to help users prepare for cybersecurity certifications.
Disclaimer: Certcy is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or associated with CompTIA, ISC2, or any other certification body. All certification names and trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
3. User Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
- You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Copy, distribute, or reproduce App content without permission
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App’s systems or infrastructure
- Use automated tools to scrape or extract content from the App
- Share your account credentials with others
- Interfere with or disrupt the App’s operation
5. Intellectual Property
All content in the App, including but not limited to text, questions, graphics, logos, and software, is the property of DM+ or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from App content without our express written permission.
6. Subscriptions and Payments
Some features of the App may require a paid subscription. If applicable:
- Payment will be charged to your App Store or Google Play account upon confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions through your device’s account settings.
- Refunds are handled according to Apple App Store or Google Play Store policies.
7. Content Accuracy
Important: While we strive to provide accurate and up-to-date study materials, we do not guarantee that using the App will result in passing any certification exam. The App is a supplementary study tool and should not be your sole source of preparation.
8. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DM+ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to loss of data, exam failure, or interruption of service.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DM+ and its officers, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
11. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately.
12. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by other means. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
