Today is a launch day. Two products shipped that have been the focus of our last six months.
Certcy V2 is the consumer practice app — the version most cert students will interact with on their phones. As of April 30, 2026, V2 added theme skins, weekly live challenges, five new exam tracks (bringing the catalog to 17), and a complete redesign of the leaderboard and streak systems. If you haven’t opened the app in a while, that’s what’s different.
Certcy Enterprise is what shipped today. It’s a separate admin web app at admin.certcy.app — built for L&D managers, VP Engs, and CISOs who need to roll out and track certification training across teams of 25 to 500+ engineers. New product. New UX. Same underlying content engine the consumer app runs on.
This post is what we built, what we built it around, and where to start if you’re shopping or just curious.
What’s actually in V2
The consumer Certcy app is what most people know as “Certcy.” If you’ve been studying for a CompTIA, ISC2, AWS, or Cisco cert in the last year, you might already have it. V2 changes:
- 17 certification exam tracks. CompTIA (A+, Network+, Security+, CySA+, PenTest+, CASP+, Cloud+, Linux+, Server+, Data+), ISC2 (CC, SSCP, CISSP), AWS (Cloud Practitioner, SA Associate), Cisco (CCNA, CyberOps Associate). Roughly 1,890 practice questions and 1,139 flashcards across the catalog.
- Theme skins. A small thing that turns out to matter a lot. You can theme your study experience to the cert you’re working on, and the app remembers it across sessions.
- Weekly live challenges. Time-boxed, leaderboard-driven study sessions where you compete with other Certcy users on the same exam. Streaks compound when you finish weekly challenges.
- Mobile-first practice mode. Spaced repetition, difficulty adaptation, per-domain readiness scoring. Designed for the 15-minute commute, not the 3-hour lecture hall.

What’s actually in Enterprise
Certcy Enterprise is the admin dashboard. It’s what your L&D manager, VP of Engineering, or CISO would use if your company has decided to centrally manage certification training across a team.
Five things it does that we couldn’t find a competitor doing all of well:
1. Readiness scoring, not completion %.
The single most important design decision in this product. Most cert-training platforms show you “completion %” — what percentage of lessons your engineer has clicked through. We discovered, from years of consumer Certcy data, that this is a near-useless predictor of exam outcomes. Users with 90% completion rates were failing the exam. Users with 60% completion rates were passing on the first try.
So we built around per-domain readiness scoring. The number on the dashboard is what your engineer would score on the exam today, by exam objective. If their CISSP Domain 3 readiness is 41%, you know exactly where to focus.
2. Engagement alerts.
The feature your L&D manager will pay for. Three signals — session count below the weekly minimum, readiness curve flat or declining, days since last quiz — combine into a single alert. Any two of three triggers it. The L&D dashboard surfaces flagged learners. One click sends the engineer’s manager a coaching prompt with the specific weak domains. Manager-driven coaching, not L&D-driven policing.
This is the moment in every demo where someone says “wait — that’s the metric we’ve been trying to build in spreadsheets.”
3. 10-minute rollout.
We obsessed over the time-to-first-engineer-studying. Sign in with Google or Microsoft Workspace. Build a track. Paste the email list. Pay for the seats. Done. Real-world rollouts have hit 10 minutes from cold sign-in.
For comparison: most enterprise training rollouts take weeks. SSO config back-and-forth. CSV template iterations. License tracking spreadsheets.
4. Procurement-friendly out of the box.
Public DPA template. DPA, AUP, Sub-processor list, and Enterprise Terms available on request (email zach@certcy.app). Per-seat pricing with no “contact us” game until you cross 500 seats. Tier-1 SSO (Google + Microsoft) native at Team+ and above; SAML/OIDC custom-quoted at Department tier.
If your procurement team has reviewed cybersecurity SaaS platforms before, they’ll know how rare this transparency is.
5. Per-org data isolation.
Firestore security rules scope every read/write by organization ID. Your data is yours. We don’t pool training data across customers. The audit log is per-org. The reports are per-org. Exports are per-org.

Per-seat, monthly or annual. No annual lock-in below Department tier.
- Starter / Team (up to 25 seats): starts at $18/seat/month
- Team+ (25–50 seats): tier pricing decreases with seat count
- Department (50–150 seats): includes custom cert tracks and dedicated support
- Organization (150–500 seats): includes API access (Phase 2)
- Enterprise (500+ seats): contact us for custom
All tiers include all 17 exam tracks and all admin dashboard features.

What’s not in Enterprise (yet)
We’re explicit about what’s still being built, because procurement teams rightly want to know.
- SOC 2 Type I: in progress, target Q3 2026.
- SOC 2 Type II: Q4 2026.
- SAML / OIDC SSO (Okta, generic): custom-quoted at Department tier today; native in Phase 2 (June-July 2026).
- SCIM provisioning: Q3 2026.
- Slack / Teams digest notifications: Q4 2026.
- iOS app: Q2 2026.
- REST API: Phase 2 (June-July 2026).
- LMS integration (SCORM / xAPI): Phase 3 (Q3 2026).
